We will also share communion at this party. The party will last around an hour and a half.

6pm Evening Service Celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at St Andrew’s Church, Lower Bemerton. A service with 3 hymns lasting around 45 minutes.

9pm As our day of celebrating Pentecost comes to an end we will meet to pray Night Prayer together in St Michael’s Church. A service which lasts for about 10 minutes. We will then release some fully biodegradable sky lanterns from St Michael’s car park. Each lantern will have a gift of the Holy Spirit written upon it. Will will release these and pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to fill our parish as we discern new ways to serve each other as Jesus teaches us to do.

“We believe in inclusive church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.

We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality.

We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”
