We are delighted to announce that Rev Kevin Martin has been appointed to be installed as the new Rector of Bemerton.

Kevin is being made Rector of Bemerton on Monday evening, but the lockdown rules mean no congregation and no-one but Kevin, Bishop, Archdeacon, patron and churchwardens present. However you can watch it live – on Zoom or Facebook. The instructions are below and the order of service is attached.

Either join the Zoom meeting entering the Zoom meeting ID 763 459 685 and wait to be admitted by the Zoom host.

(but note that Zoom is being live streamed so if you are on Zoom you might at times be seen on the live feed , if you don’t want this you turn your camera off; also during the licencing service people on Zoom will be muted by the host) .

 The service starts at 7pm and we expect to be streaming from 6.50 So please join then to check you can see it.

Services in the Church are currently on hold due to national lockdown restrictions.

Services in church began again with the first 8 am service in St Andrew’s on July 12th. This will continue every week from now on, with Morning Prayer for the first few weeks and  the usual 8 am Holy Communion in due course. Only 12 people can be accommodated with social distancing, so please let Gillian Newton Know if you are planning to attend (01722 433366 or gillian.f.newton@gmail.com)

St Andrew’s is now open for private prayer on Wed to Sat mornings. Please follow the hand sanitising and social distancing instructions you will find there.

St Michael’s first services will be Informal Worship, with Bishop Andrew preaching, at 10.30 am on July 19th; and Holy Communion led by Rev Martin Hancock on July 26th.  Thereafter there will be services of Holy Communion in St Michael’s church on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month; and services on Zoom (ID 763 459 685) on the 1st, 3rd  and any 5th Sundays. The church café is also open once more, 11 – 2 on Mon, Tues, Weds and Thurs from September 7th each week in St Michael’s Community Centre.
