Coronavirus

Following Government and Church of England advice, social distancing and hand sanitising is required in call church buildings, and those attending for worship are required to wear face coverings unless they are in one of the exempt categories and no singing or raised voices are allowed.

St Andrew’s can be visited  for private prayer  but on Wednesday to Saturday mornings only. Please follow the instructions you will find  on entering church (such as leave the door open for ventilation, hand sanitise, leave contact details in case required for track and trace).

Services have recommenced in St Andrew’s at 8 am each Sunday, initially Morning Prayer, but  Holy Communion each week  from August 16th onwards.  With social distancing, the congregation  is limited to 12 people, so if you are not a regular attender you are asked to let  Gillian Newton know if you plan to come (on 01722 433366 or text 07811 505041).

St Michael’s currently have 10.30 am Sunday morning Communion in church on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month. The 10.30 am services on other Sundays are on Zoom (ID obtainable form Gillian Newton as in the paragraph above), with no service in the church building.

The Church Café and Community Fridge  are open in St Michael’s Community Centre from 11 – 2, every Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday where can enjoy coffee, cake or soup and a roll and socially distanced fellowship. And take free, near-its-use-by date food to help reduce the amount of food going to landfill.

This page will be updated when the situation changes.
