Study and Training

Study in Bemerton Parish

An evening course running from 7pm – 9:30pm at St Michael’s Community Centre on Tuesday 20th September 2022 and Wednesday 12th October 2022.

Grave Talk is such an amazing resource and a very gentle and safe way to begin to explore the sensitive issues around death and dying.

The course will facilitated by Revd Canon Kim Stephens and if you are interested or want further details please do send an email to Kim.Stephens@

Kim comes from a nursing midwifery background and is an ordained minister in the church of England for over twenty years.  Kim has experience of many years as a hospital chaplain being alongside families and their loved ones as they approach end of life. Kim has worked alongside the hospice and the chaplaincy has been involved in facilitating and leading group conversations around death and dying. This time at end of life is especially precious and highlights the importance of those conversations which are difficult to have.

In Grave talk Kim aims to facilitate a small group table conversation in a safe and open environment where some of the questions and issues around death and dying can be explored.

We are offering two possible dates for Grave Talk and it is open for people across the Diocese to attend. We will be limiting number of attendees to 20 per evening so please let Kim know if you wish to attend one of the evenings as soon as possible.
