9am Book of Common Prayer Communion at St Andrew’s Church, Lower Bemerton. A said traditional English language service using the Book of Common Prayer. The service lasts around 45 minutes.
10:30am Eucharist at St Michael’s Community Centre Main Hall. A service using modern English and lasting 60 to 70 minutes. There are four hymns/songs with some other singing but you don’t have to sing if you prefer not to. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
All are welcome to any of our services. You don’t need to have been baptised/christened, have been to a church service before, have a strong, any faith or say or sing anything. If you would prefer to come along and see and listen to what happens or would like to ask questions you are very welcome. We gather as people who are believers and doubters, the certain and curious, those with much faith and those with none. You don’t even have to stay for the whole service you are free to arrive and leave whenever you like during the service.
We believe in inclusive church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.
We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality.
We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.
