The Rev’d Kevin Martin (Rector)
I was licensed as Rector of Bemerton in November 2020 having previously been assistant curate in the Benefice of St Bartholomew and before that assistant curate in the Shaftesbury Team. I am focussed on serving the local community by being alongside you in your everyday life. Before training for ministry I was an Existential Psychotherapist in private practice, setting up a therapy centre and an affordable community counselling service.
I am married to Dr Liz, who is a psychotherapist. Liz has four grown up children, two of whom still live with us full time. The eldest is a midwife in training who has two daughters and lives with her partner in Southampton. The third has just completed her BA in American Studies at University of Sussex and is excited to be starting an MA there next month.
