Ministry Team

Rev’d Kevin Martin (Rector)
One of the many reasons I felt called to this parish is because of the great possibility of connecting with and serving the local community through the Community Cafe and Community Fridge & Larder in St Michael’s Community Centre. I also knew I was called to a parish that had signed up to be an Inclusive Church in the Inclusive Church Network.
I am married to Dr Liz, who is a psychotherapist and has four adult children, two of whom still live with us full time and work in Salisbury. The other two live in Southampton and Japan respectively.

Rev’d Canon Karen Hutchinson (Associate Priest)
I moved to this area in 2022 to work for the Diocese of Salisbury, where my ‘day job’ is being Lay Ministry Development Officer. Prior to that I have been a vicar of various parishes, an archdeacon, a Warden of LLMs and a very long time ago I was a solicitor. I am married to Richard, who is a copy editor; we have two adult children who live in Fareham and Bristol, and one very adorable granddaughter.
In my spare time I like to crochet and I enjoy singing with the Salisbury Community Choir.

Maureen Winstanley Licensed Lay Minister with Permission to Officiate.
I was originally licenced as a LLM in 2007 but retired several years later but I have recently had my licence renewed.I have lived in Salisbury all my life and been connected to Bemerton Churches most of those years. Most of my working life has been spent working with my husband in our Craft and restoration Bookbinding business where I was secretary, accountant and helping to restore old books and sewing them together again.
We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. One Son and daughter-in-law live in New Zealand with 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Our oldest Son and Daughter-in -law have recently moved back to the UK from Florida , and our Daughter and 2 grandsons live locally. I am looking forward to continuing my work with the people who live in this parish.I have recently begun painting as a hobby and have started an Art Group in the Community Centre which is open to everyone who would like to try their hand at painting, no experience necessary.
